About the RoleA day in the life of a QA engineer at RDC is dynamic and multifaceted. Here’s a glimpse into what such a day might entail:Team Stand-up: Participate in an agile stand-up meeting to discuss progress and roadblocks with the product team.Plan: Participate in defining the quality assurance strategy and test plans for integration, system acceptance and performance tests.Define: Clarify acceptance criteria through examples to verify and accept stories. Creation of test cases with traceability back to requirements. Automate test cases when appropriate.Execution: Make preparations including test environments and data for the tests. Execute test cases automatically or manually. Migrate manual test cases to automated test cases.Collaboration: Prepare and participate in the various agile ceremonies. Support Product Owner to refine user stories, collaborate with other product teams on requirements, dependencies and schedule. Explain the test plans, test scenarios and test cases to broad audiences.Learning: Stay up to date on relevant technology, methodology, and help the team continuously improve.Throughout the day, a QA Engineer balances QA work with collaboration, ensuring that the end product meet functional and non-functional requirements and achieve the product goals. They assume technical responsibility for all stages of the software QA lifecycle. Your Skills & ExperienceYou must have...Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, related discipline or equivalent work experience. 2+ years of relevant experience in Enterprise Software Quality Assurance, Testing and Advocacy in an Agile environment. Experience with test case management, bug tracking and test automation tools.Experience in test plan and scenario documentation, defect analysis, tracking and reporting.Experience with testing B2B API and Integration based products.Experience with testing Web based products.Experience with creation and management of automated test cases.Strong personal commitment to quality.Ability to communicate effectively across all levels.Open communicationEmpathyFlexibilityIdeally you have...Background in the banking softwareQA testing for a SaaS companyCertifications in Software Testing (e.g. CSTP, ISTQB CTAL, ISTQB Agile Tester).Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL and database development concepts.Ability to write clear and concise automation scripts in Java, JavaScript or Python.DevSecOps, Application Security, Secure Development Lifecycle.Understanding of AI and Machine Learning.
